Mary C. Conner, 76, of Masonic Homes, Elizbethtown, PA, formery of Lykens and Lemoyne, died Sunday, May 26, 2002, at Masonic Health Care Center, Elizabethtown, of natural causes.
She was the wife of John W. Conner. They were married for 54 years in January.
Mary was born in Gratz, Dauphin County, PA, and was the daughter of the late Carlos E. and Mae Willard Klinger.
Mrs. Conner was a member of the United Methodist Church in Lykens. She was a 1944 graduate of Lykens High School and a 1946 graduate of Central Penn Business School.
She worked for 35 years as an accounting clerk with the former United Telephone Company, retiring in 1983. Mrs. Conner was a member of the Past Worthy Matron of Glen Chapter #425 Order of Eastern Star, Lykens. She was a life member of the Telephone Pioneers of America. She collected cardinals and enjoyed reading, needlework and ceramics.
Surviving are her husband, John W. Conner, Elizabethtown, PA; 2 daughters, Ann L., wife of D. Lee Salter, Elizabethtown, and Brenda J., wife of Charles L. Mallery, Jr., of Mechanicsburg; 1 son, John W. Conner II of Sunbury; 2 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the funeral service at Frank S. Miller Funeral Home, 130 North Market Street, Elizabethtown, PA, on Thursday, May 30, 2002 at 11AM.
Friends may call at the Miller Funeral Home on Wednesday evening from 7-9 and Thursday morning from 10 until the time of service.
