SHAMOKIN R.D. 1 -- Roy C. Lenig, 70, Shamokin R.D. 1, West Cameron Township, died Tuesday at 1:40 p.m. in, his home. He was in ill health two years and was hospitalized periodically during that time in Geisinger Medical Center, Danville.
Born in Sunbury, March 23, 1903, Mr. Lenig was the son of the late Franklin P. and Mary (Boyer) Lenig.
Mr. Lenig was employed as a miner. He was married Feb. 3, 1925, in Herndon to the former Laura A. Derek. He was a member of Bethel Union Chapel, West Cameron Township.
Survivors include, the widow, three daughters, Mrs. Bertha Erdman, Herndon R.D. 1 and Mrs. Charles (Betty) Paul and Mrs. James (Madeline) Wiest, West Cameron Township; a son, James, Shamokin; 15 grandchildren, six great-grandchildren; a sister, Mrs. Sadie Sherman, Trevorton, and two brothers, Herbert Lenig, Augustaville, and Francis Lenig, Sunbury R.D.
Arrangements are in charge of the Robert G. Foust Funeral Home.

Danville--Laura A, Lenig, 84, of Shamokin RD1, West Cameron Townsip, died at 4:24 a.m. Monday, May 31, 1993, at Geisinger Medical Center, Danville. She had been in ill health for the past year and entered the hospital earlier that day.
Born July 28, 1908, in West Cameron Township, she was a daughter of the late William H. and Alice (Weikel) Derck. In 1925, she married Roy C. Lenig, who died in 1974.
She was a lifetime resident of. West Cameron Township.
She was educated in the West Cameron Township schools.
Mrs. Lenig was a member of Bethel Union Chapel, West Cameron Township.
She is survived by a son, James of Shamokin RD1, West Cameron Township, with whom she lived for the past two years; three daughters, Bertha Erdman of Herndon RD and Betty Paul and Madeline Wiest, both of West Cameron township; 15 grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandson.
She was preceded in death by a daughter, Mary Lou Lenig; five, brothers; and four sisters.
The funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Robert Foust Funeral Home, 841 W. Shamokin St Trevorton, by the Rev. Sam Derr. Burial will be in Northumberland Memorial Park, Stonington.
Visitors may call from 7 to 9 tonight at the funeral home.
Contributions in her memory may be made to the Bethel Union Chapel, Shamokin RD2.
