Amelia Loretta Klinger was born on 6 April 1872.1 She was the daughter of Johannes Klinger and Christiana Deibert. Amelia Loretta Klinger married David Calvin Klinger, son of David S. Klinger and Barbara Merkel Wiest, on 6 November 1891. At the time of the 1910 Census, Amelia and her husband David were living in Upper Mahantongo Township, Schuylkill County, PA, where David was a carpenter. Amelia and David had been married 18 years and had given birth to 7 children, all of whom were then living.2 In 1920, Amelia and "Calvin" were living in the borough of Lykens, with 7 of their children, where Calvin was a carpenter.3 In 1930, Amelia and David were living on Second Street in Lykens with 4 of their children. David was a carpenter for a planning mill. Amelia's widowed mother Christina was living with them.4 Amelia Loretta Klinger died on 31 March 1954, Lykens, Dauphin County, PA, at age 81.5

Surviving are four daughters, Miss Katie Klinger, at home, Mrs. Flora Dunlap of Oaks, Mrs. Grace Lloyd of Pottstown, and Mrs. Ver Schreffler at home; four sons Francis, John, Carlon and Richard, all of Lykens. Services will be held at 2 p. m. Saturday.

David Calvin Klinger commonly went by the name of Calvin. David Calvin Klinger is also referred to as Calvin David Klinger in some sources.1,2 He was born on 16 February 1870, near Klingerstown, Schuylkill County, PA.3 He was the son of David S. Klinger and Barbara Merkel Wiest. David Calvin Klinger married Amelia Loretta Klinger, daughter of Johannes Klinger and Christiana Deibert, on 6 November 1891. David Calvin Klinger died on 6 January 1931, Williamstown, Dauphin County, PA, at age 60.2 He was buried on 10 January 1931, at Fairview Cemetery, Williamstown, Dauphin County, PA.2

CALVIN KLINGER BURIED SATURDAY
Funeral services for David Calvin Klinger, who died suddenly last Tuesday, were held from the residence in Lykens last Saturday afternoon. Rev. Walter Hartzeil, pastor of Christ Reformed Church officiated and interment was made in Fairview cemetery at Williamstown.
Mr. Klinger had been a Contract carpenter in Lykens for nearly twenty years. It was while he was working in the yards of the Home Lumber and Construction Company, Williamstown, that he fell a victim of a paralytic stroke. Mr. Klinger and his son had been engaged in a small repair job at a nearby home, and his son walked across the street on an errand. When he returned to the yards he found his father dead.
Deceased was a son of the late Mr. and Mrs. David Klinger and was born at Klingerstown. He was married to Miss Amelia Klinger of Klingerstown in November 1891.
His wife and the following children survive: Carlos, John, Francis, Harry, Katie, Richard and Levi of Lykens and Grace and Flora of Pottstown.
