Elsie Jennie Boyer is also referred to as Elsie J. Knorr in some sources.2 She was born on 10 March 1927, Klingerstown, Schuylkill County, PA.2,3 She was baptized on 9 May 1927, Zion (Klinger's) Lutheran Church Cemetery, Erdman, Dauphin County, PA.2 Although her newspaper obituuaries list her father as Edwin Knorr, her baptismal record at Klinger's Church and her death certificate list her father as "Albert Boyer." It is not clear who this Albert Boyer was, but it is possi ble that it was Albert D. Boyer, who was born in Valley View, PA, 27 Oct 1906, son of Daniel Boyer and Carrie Wolfgang Boyer.4,3,5 She married Melvin Harvey Williard on 12 June 1943, Zion (Klinger's) Lutheran Church, Erdman, Dauphin County, PA.2 Elsie Jennie Boyer died on 11 April 1957, Upper Mahantongo Township, Schuylkill County, PA, at age 30.3 She was buried on 14 April 1957, at St. Michael's Church Cemetery, Klingerstown, Schuylkill County, PA.2

Mrs. Elsie J. Williard, age 30 years, of Klingerstown R. D wife of Melvin H. Williard, died at her home Thursday morning.
Mrs. Williard was a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Edward Knorr, Lykens R. D. She was a member of Michael's Lutheran Church, Klingerstown.
Survivors are her husband, three children Cheryl, Dale, and Larry, at home; her parents, and four brothers, Ray Knorr, Hegins R. D; Walter Knorr of Rebuck; Dean Knorr and Bryan Klinger, both of Lykens R. D.
Services were held in the Lutheran and Reformed Church, Klingerstown, Sunday afternoon. Rev. John D. Keener officiated, and interment was made in the church cemetery.

Services for Melvin H. Williard, 81, of 105 Fearnot Road, Lykens, formerly of RR1 Kllngerstown, who died Monday at Polyclinic Medical Center, Harrisburg, will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at Zion Lutheran Church, RR1 Erdman, Lykens. The Rev. Joel Petruschke will officiate. Interment will be In Zlon Lutheran Cemetery, RR1 Erdman, Lykens. Stephen R. Rothermel Funeral Home, RR1 Kllngerstown, is in charge of arrangements.
Born In Greenbrier, Oct. 30, 1919, he was a son of the late Harvey and Carrie Snyder Williard. He was educated in the Hubley Township schools.
He was an Army veteran of World War II. He was a retired coal miner and was last employed as a construction worker and farmer for the former Spread Eagle Farms, Klingerstown, retiring in J972.
He was a member of Zion Lutheran Church, Erdman, a life member of Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 2385, Lykens Township, a member of Klingerstown Fire Company and Erdman Sportsman's Association.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, the former Elsie J. Boyer, on April 11, 1957; two daughters, Geraldine Williard, in 1945, and Cheryl D. Tobias, on Jan. 3, 1985; a brother, Harlan.
Surviving are his wife, the former Daisy A. Troutman Kessler; two sons, Larry L., Valley View, and Dale M., Spring Glen; a stepdaughter, Norma Straub, Lykens, with whom he resided since Oct. 21; a stepson, Jack Kessler, Lykens; two sisters, Arlene Williard, Valley View, and Jean Herb, RR1 Hegins; nine grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews.
