ELIZABETHVILLE - Katie Edna Haas, 88, of Elizabethville RD1, formerly of Herndon RD1, died at 11 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 9, 1992, at Polyclinic Medical Center, Harrisburg, where she has been a patient since December 1987.
Mrs. Haas was born May 2, 1903, in Rebuck, Washington Township, a daughter of the late Frank and Catherine (Strohecker) Hoffman. She was married to William H. Haas, who died in January 1973.
A homemaker, Mrs. Haas was educated in Jordan Township schools. She was a member of St. Peter's Lutheran Church, Red Cross.
She is survived by a daughter, Clara Kahler of Elizabethville RD1; two sons, Dr. Melvin E. of Redlands, Calif., and Bruce R. of Herndon RD1; four grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by several brothers and sisters.
The funeral will be conducted at 3 p.m. Monday at the Stephen R. Rothermel Funeral Home, Klingerstown RD1, by the Rev.
Glen B. Keidel. Burial will be in St. Peter's Lutheran Cemetery, Red Cross.
Visitors may call from 2 to 3 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
