Francis Washington Scheib was born on 22 February 1883.3,4 He was the son of Victor Emanuel Scheib and Elizabeth Anna Schwalm.1 Francis Washington Scheib married Salome Ellen Welker on 12 May 1906, Gratz, Dauphin County, PA.5,4 Francis Washington Scheib died on 8 April 1967, Community Hospital, Sunbury, Northumberland County, PA, at age 84.3,6

Francis W. Scheib, 84, of Pillow, died Saturday at Sunbury Community Hospital. He was a retired coal miner and farmer and was a member of Simon's United Church of Christ, Gratz.
Surviving are his wife, the former Salome Welker; three sons, Carlos of Pillow; Lester, Hegins, RD2 and Nevin, Elizabethville; a daughter, Mrs. Raymond Brosious of Millersburg; 9 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.
Services were held Wednesday at 2 p. m. at the funeral home at Berrysburg with the Rev. James G. Reed, his pastor, officiating. Burial was made in Klinger's Church Cemetery, Lykens RD.

MRS. JOHN MILLER
Mrs. John Miller, 67, passed away at her home on West Main street at 7:30 o'clock after several months' illness. She was confined to her bed for the past three weeks. Mrs. Miller was the former Sarah Scheib. She was born in Gratz, September 12, 1884 and was the daughter of the late Victor and Anna Schwalm Scheib. On November 25, 1905 she was marred to Mr. John Miller and has resided in this vicinity since that time. She was a member of the Zion Lutheran church in Lykens.
Mrs Miller is survived by her husband, one daughter Anna, Mrs. Gilbert Mitchell of town, two sons, Lester Miller, of New Cumberland, and Raymond Miller of Harrisburg, four grandchildren, Gilbert Mitchell, Jr., of Washington, D. C., Miss Marilyn Mitchell, Lykens and Jackie and Raymie Miller of Harrisburg; and two brothers, Francis Scheib of Pillow, and Oliver Scheib, of Gratz, and a number of nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held from her home on Main street on Friday afternoon at 2 o'clock with the Rev. John Rice, pastor of the Zion Lutheran church officiating. Burial will take place in the Wiconisco cemetery.
