    DORNSIFE - Ernest D. Erdman, 74, of 248 Slutter Valley Road, died Monday, April 28, 2008, at Sunbury Community Hospital.
    He was born July 13, 1933, in Red Cross, a son of Mary (Williams) Erdman, of Millersburg, and the late Homer Erdman. On June 28, 1952, he married the former Jean Falck, who survives.
    He was educated at the Trevorton High School and was a veteran of the Korean War, having served in the Army.
    Ernest was employed as a carpenter for various area contractors and last was employed by the Robert Latsha Construction Co. in Halifax, retiring in 1995.
    He was a member of Emmanuel Lutheran Church, Hunter Station, and the Herndon Area Senior Citizens.
    Ernest enjoyed woodworking, crafts, hunting and fishing.
    In addition to his wife and mother, he is survived by three children and their spouses, Denise and Ira Dewalt of Dornsife, Kevin and Cheryl Erdman of Moseley, Va., and Michele and Glen Klinger of Dalmatia; eight grandchildren, Andrea, Bryson and Kyle Dewalt, Brooke Lute, Amy, Nicholas and Megan Erdman and Hayden Klinger; two great-granddaughters, Alexandria Herb and Olivia Lute; one sister, Yvonne Lenig of RR1 Shamokin; two brothers, Ronald "Jack" Erdman of RR1 Dornsife and Dennis Erdman of Lewisburg; and nieces and nephews.
    The viewing will be held from 9 to 11 a.m. Friday at the Stephen R. Rothermel Funeral Home, 1133 Ridge Road, Klingerstown, followed by the funeral at 11 with the Rev. Glen B. Keidel Jr. officiating.
    Burial will be in Northumberland Memorial Park, Stonington.
    Memorial contributions may be made in his memory to the Emmanuel Lutheran Church Memorial Fund, RR1, Box 30-B, Dornsife, PA 17823.
