    MILLERSBURG- David J. Witmer, of Moore Street, passed away peacefully at his home, Friday, January 24, 2014. He was 62.
    He was born January 16, 1952 in Harrisburg. He was the son of Earl 'Jim' and Bernice (Straub) Witmer who survive him in Millersburg. He was a lifelong resident of Millersburg.
    Dave was a 1969 graduate of Millersburg High School. He had worked at Fruehauff in Middletown, also at Metal Industries, Millersburg and had retired from the US Postal Service as a machine mechanic. He was a past member of the Triumph Sports Owners Club, the Millersburg Moose and the Millersburg American Legion. He enjoyed many years as a flea market vender during the Spring and Fall Carlisle Show and also the Carlisle Import Show. Dave enjoyed everything about cars. He also spent endless hours researching his family tree.
    He leaves behind his wife, Kathleen Ann (Lingerfelt) Witmer; Three step-children, Kevin Crall, Michigan, Victoria Blasius, Millersburg and William Crall and his wife Samantha,Elizabethville. A brother, Ben Witmer and his wife Marcy, Orlando, FL and a Sister, Vicki Stabel,and her husband Mike , Ormond, Beach, FL; There are six step-grandchildren, Christopher, Rosemary, Sophia, Alex, Chase and Miles; Father-in-Law Hubert Lingerfelt, Michigan; Uncle Ken Straub and wife Alice; Aunt Charlotte Bingaman and husband David; Aunt Barbara Strawser and husband Dale; Brothers-in-Law, Don Lingerfelt and wife Julie and Kurt Lingerfelt and wife Paula; Four nephews, Donald, Tony, Charles and Jacob; Two nieces, Kate and Rachel; Many cousins.
