Warren L. "Muggzy" Morris
May 27, 2008 Warren L. "Muggzy" Morris, 69, of 306 W Grand Ave., Tower City, died Tuesday at Good Samaritan Regional Medical Center.
Born in Pottsville, Oct. 22, 1938, he was a son of the late Howard and Grace Miller Morris. He was an Army veteran.
Muggzy was a retired coal miner.
He was preceded in death by a son, Terry Morris; a stepson, Edward Shutt; a sister, Joann Ossman; and a brother, Grant Morris.
Surviving are his wife, Betty Sallada Morris; two sons, Warren Jr. and Robert, both of Tower City; stepchildren, Nancy Smith and Judy Shutt, both of Hegins, Kevin Shutt, Tower City, and Sally Morgan Mae, Williamstown; numerous grandchildren; and a great-granddaughter.
Services will be held at 7 p.m. Sunday from the chapel of the Dimon Funeral Homes Inc. with the Rev. Edward Gobrecht officiating. Interment will be private in the Fairview Cemetery, Williamstown. A viewing will be held from 6 p.m. Sunday until time of services at the chapel. In lieu of flowers, donations should be made to the Tower Porter EMS, P.O. Box 33 Tower City, PA 17980. SPRING GLEN - Irvin E. Mace, 62, of Spring Glen died Thursday at home.
He retired as a miner from International Anthracite and as a farmer, was an Army veteran and a Protestant.
Surviving are his wife, Beverly Robinson Mace; three sons, Earl R. of Pine Grove, and David and Michael, both of Spring Glen; two daughters, Carol Engle of Elizabethville and Tammy Miller of Spring Glen; two brothers, Russell of Dornsife and Mervin of Berrysburg; a sister, Alverta Peters of Elizabethtown; and nine grandchildren.
Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday in Reed Funeral Home, Pillow. Burial will be in Gratz Union Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday in the funeral home.
