Klinger Rites Memorial services for Warren H. Klinger, 66, of 517 Chestnut St., Hegins, who died Friday in Hershey Medical Center, will be held at 2 p.m. Aug. 9 in Friedens Lutheran Church, Hegins. The Rev. Donald Schwartz will officiate. Buffington Funeral Home, Valley View, is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Klinger was born in Hegins, Aug. 26, 1920.
He was a 1937 graduate of Hegins Township High School. Mr. Klinger was a heavy equpiment operator in the coal industry until retiring. He was operator of Klinger's Tanning Salon, Hegins.
He was a member of Friedens Lutheran Church, Hegins, Valley View and Hegins fire companies, Valley View Gun Club, Erdman Sportsmen's Association, Pike Township Gun Club, Pennsylvania White Flyer Association, National Rifle Association, TriValley Buck Tree Archery Club, and Tri-Valley Senior Citizens.
He was a volunteer with Hegins Area Ambulance Association.
Surviving are his wife, the former Dorothy Bush; five sons, Warren G., New Britain, Lloyd and Donald, both of Hegins area, Richard, Stroudsburg area, and John, Valley View; three daughters, Kay Masser, Valley View, Susan Rowland, Naperville, Ill., and Peggy Erdman, Williamsburg, Ohio; 17 grandchildren; two grandchildren, five step two step-great-grandchildren; a sister, Carrie Klinger, Pottsville; a brother, Harry Baum, Allentown; nieces and nephews.
