     Roy Calvin Schade was born on 8 October 1898, Spring Glen, Schuylkill County, PA.2,3 He married Erma Swartzlander in 1922.2 Roy Calvin Schade died on 8 April 1951, Valley View, Schuylkill County, PA, at age 52.2

ROY CALVIN SCHADE
Roy Calvin (Johnson) Schade, 52, lifelong resident of Spring Glen, died suddenly of a heart ailment Sunday morning at 8:45 o'clock, in the office of Dr. I. E. Sausser, where he had called for treatment. Born in Spring Glen October 8, 1898, he was a son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Charles M. Schade. He was employed as a truck driver, hauling coal from independent mines.
Fraternally he was a member of Menton Tribe Order of Red Men, Spring Glen; Loyal Order of Moose, Millersburg and the Valley View Fire Co., and was a social member of the Valley View Post American Legion.
Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Erma Swartzlander Schade, and these children: Leroy and Robert, both of Valley View; Marlin, Sacramento; Joyce, at home; five grandchildren; sisters and brothers surviving are, Jennie, Spring Glen; Harry, Clyde, Raymond, Howard, all of Valley Lauck, Sacramento, and Mrs. Luther Kessler, Lykens, R.D.
Funeral services Thursday afternoon at the A. R. Buffington Funeral Valley with further services in St. Paul's Union Church, where he was a member of the Faith. Dr. Paul W. Yoh, Reformed pastor, will conduct the services, assisted by D. I. Sulzbach. Burial in Union Cemetery, Sacramento.
