     Alvin Elias Klinger was born on 9 November 1920, Klingerstown, Schuylkill County, PA.1,2 He was the son of Daniel Emanuel Klinger and Stella Mae Klinger. Alvin Elias Klinger was baptized on 30 October 1921, St. Michael's Church, Klingerstown, Schuylkill County, PA.3 Some sources record that Alvin Elias Klinger was born on 30 October 1921.4 Some source record that Alvin Elias Klinger was baptized on 9 November 1921 Salem (Herb's) Church, Rough and Ready, Schuylkill County, PA.4 He married Velma Kathryn Erdman, daughter of John Jasper Erdman and Elura Grace Starr, on 1 March 1941, St. Andrew's Church, Valley View, Schuylkill County, PA.5,6 Alvin served in the US Army during World War II.7 Alvin Elias Klinger lived in Valley View, Hegins Township, Schuylkill County, PA.5 He died on 13 January 1997, Schuylkill Manor, Pottsville, Schuylkill County, PA, at age 76.5

Alvin E. Klinger, 76, of Valley View, died Monday, Jan. 13, at Schuylkill Manor, Pottsville.
Bom in Klingerstown, he was a son of the late Daniel and Stella (Klinger) Klinger.
He was an Army veteran of World War II.
He was a retired heavy equipment operator for Rosini Coal Co., Shamokin.
He was a member of St. Andrew's United Methodist Church and American Legion Post 575, Valley View.
His wife, the former Velma Erdman, died in 1992.
Surviving are a son, Kenneth, West Grove; two daughters, Sandra Williard, Valley View, and Carolyn Buffington, Gratz; a brother, Leon, RDl Sacramento; a half-brother, Marlin Klinger, Spring Glen; eiglit grandchildren;
seven great-grandchildren.
Services were held Thursday, Jan. 16, at St. Andrew's United Methodist Church, Valley View.
The Rev. H. Raymond Brooks officiated. Interment was in Christ Church Cemetery, Fountain Springs. Buffington-Reed Funeral Home, Valley View, was in charge of arrangements.8
He was buried on 16 January 1997, at St. Andrew's Cemetery, Valley View, Schuylkill County, PA.7,9 Alvin's obituary indicates that Alvin Elias Klinger was buried at Christ Church Cemetery, Fountain Springs, Schuylkill County, PA, but it is not clear whether that is correct.5
