Leonard Irvin Kessler, 71, of 8676 Route 25, Spring Glen, died Saturday at home.
Born in Hegins, June 28, 1933, he was a son of the late Charles T. Sr. and Elsie M. Sweinhart Kessler. He was a 1951 graduate of Hegins Township High School.
He was an Army veteran of the Korean War.
He retired as an inspection supervisor at the former Fruehauf Corp., Middletown.
He was preceded in death by an infant son.
Surviving are his wife of 46 years, the former Verna J. Mattern; two daughters, Beverly A. Hockenberry, Shermansdale, and Holly J. Jury, Elizabethville; a brother, Charles T. Hegins; two sisters, Lorraine Schwalm, Valley View, and Betty Klinger, Hernando, Fla; three grandchildren; a great-grandson.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at St. Paul's United Church of Christ, Sacramento. The Rev. Edward Fisher will officiate. Friends may call from noon to 2 p.m. Wednesday at the church. Memorial donations may be made to St. Paul's United Church of Christ, Sacramento, PA 17978. Interment will be in St. Paul's Cemetery, Sacramento.
