Brient Arden Wiest was born on 3 July 1938, Trevorton, Zerbe Township, Northumberland County, PA.1,2 He was the son of Nevin Andrew Wiest and Loretta Mae Kock. Brient Arden Wiest died on 3 January 2021, Geisinger Medical Center, Danville, Montour County, PA, at age 82.3

TREVORTON - Brient A. "Tinker" "Bear" Wiest, 82, of Trevorton, passed peacefully Sunday, Jan. 3, 2021, at the Geisinger Medical Center, Danville, with his wife, Louise, and his children David, Tony and Melanie by his side.
Brient was born in Trevorton, July 3, 1938, a son of Nevin Wiest and Loretta Koch Wiest.
He graduated in 1956 from Trevorton High School.
Brient was married in Shamokin to Louise Tenteromano, Aug. 23, 1958, and celebrated their 62nd wedding anniversary last August.
Brient worked for his family's contracting business as a master carpenter and foreman until 1972. He then worked as a contractor liaison for the Lewisburg Federal Penitentiary where he retired after a 20-year career. After his retirement from the penitentiary, Brient held jobs with PP&L, Wisconsin Power, Phillips Door and Paper Magic before finally retiring in 2007.
Brient loved spending time with his family and grandchildren. He enjoyed traveling, gardening and especially golfing. He was a member of the Silver Stragglers Golf League in Millersburg.
Brient is survived by his wife, Louise, of Trevorton; two sons, David Wiest and his friend, Andrea, of Fort Lauderdale, Florida, and Anthony Wiest and daughter-in-law, Linda, of Woodbridge, Virginia; a daughter, Melanie and son in-law, John Haas, of Trevorton; five grandchildren, Tony and his wife, Ashley, Tyler and his wife, Frances, Cory, Brooke and Olivia; three great-grandchildren, Anthony, Nolan and Summer; a brother, Mason and sister-in-law, Fran Wiest, of Trevorton; and a sister, Gloria and brother-in-law, Ron, of Port St. Lucie, Florida.
Brient was preceded in death by his parents, Nevin and Loretta Wiest; three brothers, Carlos, Linwood and Nevin Wiest; and five sisters, Darlene Hankin, Bernita Klock, Mardell Walz, Carolyn Siperko and Annetta Wiest.
Thank you to the Trevorton Community Ambulance and Geisinger Medical Center Emergency Room department and cardiac ICU for the quality care and services they provided.
