Donald E. Scheib, 61, of Spring Glen, died Saturday.
Born in Gratz, he was a son of the late Lester L. Margaret E. Troutman Scheib.
He was a veteran of the Marine Corps.
He was a retired coal miner, last employed by International Anthracite Inc.
He was a member of St. Mark's United Methodist Church, Spring Glen.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Clarence.
Surviving are his wife of 42 years, the former Connie L. Berger; two daughters, Donna E. Martin, Saint Clair, and Joy L. Piccolo, Rochester, N.Y; two sons, Eddie A., Franklin, N.C., and John L., Spring Glen; a brother, Robert, Hegins; a sister, Betty Scheib, Schuylkill Haven; six grandchildren; a great-grandchild; a step-great-grandchild.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday from St. Mark's Church. The Rev. Frank McCaslin will officiate. Interment will be in the church cemetery. BuffingtonReed Funeral Home, Valley View, is in charge of arrangements.
